Email scheduling

Send an email later. Pick a date and time on the draft card, and Unyo sends it from your mailbox at that exact moment — in your local time, not the server's.

You've written the email. It just shouldn't arrive right now.

Click Schedule on any draft card, pick a day and a time, and Unyo holds it and sends it from your own mailbox at that exact moment. The time you pick is the time on your clock — not the server's, not UTC, and not whatever the model guessed. Nothing is sent by an agent on its own: scheduling is a send you scheduled, one click, on a card you can read.

What you can do

  • Schedule any draft — a new email or a reply, from Gmail or from Outlook.
  • Pick any future date and time, down to the minute.
  • Attach files, keep your signature — a scheduled email goes out exactly like a normal one, with your signature injected at send time.
  • See what's pending on your Email Calendar, and in a dedicated Google Calendar if you've connected one.
  • Cancel anything still pending, just by asking Maya.

Scheduling is the confirmation

Unyo has no auto-send. Maya drafts; you send. Scheduling is the same promise shifted in time — your click is the approval, and the send fires later without asking again. If you want to stop it, cancel it before the clock runs out (see below).

Schedule an email

  1. Ask Maya for the email. You'll get an editable draft card — recipients, subject, body, attachments.

Write an email to jean@example.com about the Q2 report — tell him the numbers are ready and ask if Tuesday works for a call.

  2. Edit anything you want directly on the card. Your edits autosave and survive a reload.

  3. Click Schedule. A date-and-time picker slides in, pre-filled with one hour from now.

  4. Set the day and the time you want. This is your local wall-clock time — type 09:00 and it arrives at 09:00 where you are.

  5. Click Schedule again to confirm.

The card locks into a Scheduled state with a calendar badge, so you always know which drafts are armed and which are still sitting there.

Your clock, stored as an instant

The time you pick is converted to a precise universal instant the moment you confirm. That's what makes it daylight-saving-safe: "next Sunday at 09:00" stays 09:00 for you even if the clocks change between now and then. It has to be at least a minute in the future.

Where your scheduled emails show up

SurfaceWhat you see
Email Calendar (Skills → Maya → Email Calendar)Sent, replied and scheduled activity on a calendar grid, per mailbox.
Email Analytics (Skills → Maya → Email Analytics)Volume, replies, a daily breakdown of what Maya sent versus what you sent yourself, and your top contacts over 30 days.
Your Google CalendarIf Google Calendar is connected, Unyo keeps a dedicated "Maya - Email Planning" calendar and drops an event on it for each scheduled send. It's a separate calendar, so you can hide it in one click.

Maya also sees your pending scheduled emails as context in the conversation, so you can just ask.

What have I got scheduled to go out?

Cancel a scheduled email

Ask Maya, in plain language:

Cancel the email scheduled for tomorrow to Jean.

She can cancel anything still pending. Once an email has actually gone out, it's gone — there's no recall, from Unyo or from anyone else.

Change the time

To move a scheduled email, cancel it and schedule the new draft. It takes two sentences and it's the path we trust:

Cancel the email scheduled for Jean, then write it again — same content, and I'll schedule it for Thursday.

Don't schedule attachments more than a day out

Files you attach to a draft live in a temporary store that's swept every night: anything still sitting there after 24 hours is deleted, because unsent drafts would otherwise pile up files forever. That sweep doesn't know your email is scheduled. So an email scheduled more than ~24 hours ahead with attachments can fail at send time with its files missing.

Emails scheduled within a day are fine. For a Monday send with a PDF, schedule it on the Monday morning — or send a link from your Drive instead.

Good to know

  • One conversation, one mailbox. If you have both Gmail and Outlook connected, a conversation locks to whichever mailbox it used first, and a scheduled email goes out from that one. To use the other mailbox, open a new chat.
  • Your signature is added at send time, in both the HTML and plain-text versions — not typed into the body. Write your email ending on a closing line; the signature lands underneath it.
  • Up to 10 recipients and up to 10 attachments per email.
  • Scheduling costs nothing. Scheduling, cancelling and reading your inbox are all free at the tool level — you only pay for the model that wrote the draft, at real cost. See Credits and billing.
  • You don't need to stay online. Unyo checks for due emails every minute, server-side. Close the tab, close the laptop.

Troubleshooting

The picker won't accept my time. It has to be in the future — at least a minute from now. If you've had the card open a while, re-open the picker to reset it.

It says failed / red on the calendar. The most common cause is attachments swept by the 24-hour cleanup (above). The second is an expired mailbox connection — reconnect from Integrations in the sidebar and schedule it again.

Maya says she can't schedule it. Use the Schedule button on the draft card. That's the supported path, and it's the one every step above describes.

The wrong mailbox. Check the mailbox pill at the top of the conversation — a lock icon means the chat is tied to that mailbox. Start a new conversation to use the other one.

Can I just ask Maya to schedule it for me?

Use the Schedule button on the draft card — that's the supported path and it's one extra click. Ask Maya for the email, then schedule the card yourself. She can read back what's pending and cancel things for you, but the scheduling itself belongs to the card.

What timezone does it use?

Yours. The time you pick is your local wall-clock time, and it's converted to a precise universal instant when you confirm — which is what keeps it correct across a daylight-saving change. Pick 09:00 and it arrives at 09:00 where you are.

Do I need to leave Unyo open for it to send?

No. Scheduled emails are sent server-side. A job runs every minute, picks up whatever is due, and sends it from your mailbox. Your laptop can be closed.

Can I change the time after scheduling?

Cancel it and schedule the fresh draft at the new time. Ask Maya to cancel, ask her to rewrite it, and click Schedule again.

Will a scheduled email look like it came from a bot?

No. It's sent through your own Gmail or Outlook account, with your signature, and it lands in your Sent folder like any other email. Unyo tags it with a "Scheduled by Unyo" label in Gmail (or the matching category in Outlook) so you can find what went out through Unyo — the recipient never sees it.

Can Unyo send emails on a schedule without me writing them?

No, and that's deliberate. There is no auto-send anywhere in Unyo. Automated workflows can draft into your inbox for you to review, but a human click is always the last step before anything leaves your mailbox.
